A Blogger A Day: Rockin’ Gluten-Free
Why we’re fans: Ever overhear a really engaging phone call? That’s the way it was when Andrea called Alice to talk about Rudi’s Spread the Bread coupon campaign, which benefited NFCA. Andrea was excited to swap stories with our president, and when Alice got off the phone, she handed me Andrea’s info to stay in touch. Since then, Andrea’s been a huge support to NFCA, and she’s quick to post any information about organizations or events that promote gluten-free needs. She also writes as Chicago’s Gluten-Free Food Examiner, which gives her yet another platform to spread the word.
Andrea’s Story: I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance in May 2010 and wanted to spread my passion about how living gluten-free can rock! Basically put a positive spin on the lifestyle…share my passion with others.
According to Andrea: The toughest part about going gluten-free was eating out in restaurants. How do you trust them not to “glutenize” you? I really had a hard time figuring out where it was safe for me to eat.
A taste of Rockin’ Gluten-Free:
