On the bookshelf: Sandra has written several articles for Gluten-Free Living magazine.
Why we’re fans: In case you didn’t notice, Sandra lists two different blogs above – Gluten-Free Optimist AND Gluten-Free Social Media Tips. But that’s not all; she also blogs as the DC Gluten-Free Examiner. Sandra is up on local happenings in Maryland and DC (Spoiler alert: She’s included in our Celiac Aware Cities report), but she also spreads the word about articles and videos that apply nationwide, like rallying for a celiac disease episode on “Oprah.” Plus, we certainly don’t mind when her Gluten-Free Social Media Tips highlight NFCA.
Sandra’s Story: I was diagnosed with celiac disease in January 2007 and began blogging in December 2008.
According to Sandra: The most unexpected part of going gluten-free was creating a blog and rediscovering my passion for writing. My daughter, who is in elementary school, loves helping with blog posts and reviews.
